I decided to change my contact email address. I did so using the settings etc. then I received the confirmation email. "Please log in to see this page." OK. I tried using my old email address with my password (which I didn't change.) There was an error, "Password/email combo not w/e it says." Ok. I used my new email and old password. Still the same error. I emailed FB support (3-5 days ago maybe) and have yet to hear back. Although I do not miss FB at all, it's the easiest way for my friends to stay in touch (and no, I can't call them because I don't have their telly numbers or email them because I don't have those either.) For the record, I can't log in to FB until farther notice.

I guess I want to know:
1) how to fix this problem
2) why/how/what happened?

Sounds like something glitched with their server. My friend had something similar to this happen with his facebook. It took the facebook help desk nearly three months to respond to his email. :-\
